- Scientific Officer (Pharmacognosy): 01 Post (UR-01)

- Lecturer (Prosthetics and Orthotics): 03 posts (UR-03)

Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Exam Advt 08/2020
Citizenship:
A Candidate must be either:
- (a) a citizen of India, or
- (b) a subject of Nepal, or
- (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
- (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Scientific Officer (Pharmacognosy)
- Pharmacopoeial Laboratory for Indian Medicine, Ghaziabad Ministry of AYUSH (UR-01)
Age:
- 35 years
Education Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Botany or Pharmacy (with Pharmacognosy as the main subject) of a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience:
- Three years of experience of drug analysis involving the use of modern scientific instruments.
Pay Scale:
- Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Duties:
- To carry out Pharmcognostic Testing/Analysis as well as the development of pharmacopoeial Standards of Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani drugs.
- To assist the Director in work pertaining to PLIM, Ghaziabad.
- Overall supervision of the Pharmacognosy section i.e. maintenance of museum and herbarium, authentication of drugs, supervision of garden and survey collection tours. Overall supervision of the Pharmacognosy section and to assist the Director in day to day administration of the laboratory.
Junior Scientific Officer
- Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy), Directorate of Civilian Personnel, Ministry of Defence.
Age:
- 30 years
Education Qualification:
- Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Physics / Applied Physics / Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Electronics OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from recognized University or Institute in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/Metallurgical/Mechanical/Aeronautical/Chemical.
Experience:
- Two years experience in production, development or Quality Assurance
Pay Scale:
- Level-8 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Duties:
- Preparation and analyzing of test reports of Lab samples.
- Calibration and maintenance of the equipment.
- Carries out the analysis/tests for certain critical samples/jobs as per the requirement.
- Monitors and guides the Scientific Staff in carrying out analysis/tests and maintain logbooks and reports.
Lecturer (Physiotherapy)
- All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mumbai, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Age:
- 35 years
Education Qualification:
- (i) Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University; and
- (ii) (a) Two years of teaching experience in Physiotherapy from an institute recognized by the Central or State Government. (b) Two years’ experience in Planning Implementation of research projects in Rehabilitation from an institute recognized by the Central or State Government.
Pay Scale:
- Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Duties:
- Evaluation of persons with disability and planning of Physiotherapy programme.
- Clinical supervision of students and junior staff.
- Participation in multidisciplinary clinics.
- To impart cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills to Post Graduate and Under Graduate students.
- Preparation of clinical schedules and coordination of course programs.
- Guide Post Graduate Research dissertations.
- Assistance to Head of Department in Departmental Administration and Management.
- Undertake research activities in Rehabilitation Physiotherapy
Lecturer (Prosthetics and Orthotics)
- All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mumbai, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Age:
- 35 years
Education Qualification:
- (a) Master’s Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from a recognized University; and
- (b) Two years experience in fabrication or manufacturing of Prosthetics and Orthotics appliances, training and research in the field of rehabilitation from an institute recognized by the Central or State Government,
- (c) Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from a recognized University.
- (d) Three years’ experience in fabrication or manufacturing of Prosthetics and Orthotics appliances, training and research in the field of rehabilitation in an Institute recognized by Central or State Government.
Pay Scale:
- Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Duties:
- Conduct lectures and demonstrations in the subject of Prosthetics and Orthotics;
- All examination work and co-ordination with the University as per requirements of University for Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO) and Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics (MPO) and other allied courses;
- Conduct research and guide BPO and MPO students in research and publications;
- Supervise and participate in the functioning of Prosthetics and Orthotics sections;
- To participate in the procurement process of materials, machinery & equipment.
Lecturer (Vocational Guidance)
- All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mumbai, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Age:
- 35 years
Education Qualification:
- (i) Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized University; and
- (ii) Post Graduate Diploma of one-year duration in Vocational Guidance or counselling from a recognized University or Institute.
Pay Scale:
- Level-8 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Duties:
- (i) Academic and Research (a) To teach students, conduct research and provide clinical services;
- (ii) Service Programme and Counseling (a) Assessment and counselling of physically disabled for educational and employment purpose;
- (iii) Administration (a) Overall supervision of the Department. (b) Preparation of reports and maintenance of statistics.
Sub-Editor
- Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan, Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice
Age:
- 30 Years
Education Qualification:
- (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Law of a recognized University or institute,
- (ii) Hindi as an elective or compulsory subject at the Senior Secondary (12th) level from a recognized Board or Institute;
- (iii) English as a compulsory subject at Senior Secondary (12th) level from a recognized Board or Institute; And
- (iv) (a) Translation in Hindi of deeds, agreement, Bills, Acts, Rules, Regulations and Orders, in the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous or Statutory Bodies or Recognized Institutes or Universities for a period of three years; or (b) Editing and translation in Hindi of High Court or Supreme Court judgments for three years; or (c) Post-Graduate Diploma in translation from an Institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
Pay Scale:
- Level-7 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Duties:
- (i) Translation of selected judgments of Supreme Court of India and various High Courts from English to Hindi.
- (ii) Preparation of Head-Notes of translated judgments.
- (iii) Preparation of index and digests.
- (iv) Checking of citations from Indian and Foreign Law Reports.
- (v) Proofreading and scrutiny of Patrikas.
- (vi) To report to the Assistant Editor and the Editor/Branch Officer of the Unit regarding translating/editing task.
- (vii) Any other work related to the Patrikas with the consultation of Editor/Chief Editor or higher Officers of the Department.
