Eligibility Criteria
Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:
- (a) a citizen of India, or
- (b) a subject of Nepal, or
- (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
- (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly
Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the
the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India
Age Limits
- Stenographer Grade „C‟: 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., candidates born not before 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.
- Stenographer Grade „D‟: 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.01.1995 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.
Relaxation in upper age limit
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 Years
- PwD (OBC): 13 years
- PwD (SC/ ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM):03 years after deduction of the military service
Education Qualification
- Candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

- The question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.

Document Verification (DV)
All the candidates qualified for Document Verification are required to appear for Document Verification along with the photocopies and original documents as mentioned below:
- Candidates have to bring two passport size recent color photographs and one original valid Photo ID Proof while appearing for the Document Verification. Photo ID Proof can be:
- Aadhaar Card/ Printout of E-Aadhaar.
- Voter ID Card.
- PAN Card.
- Passport.
- Driving License.
- Government School/ College ID Card.
- Employer ID (Govt./ PSU).
- Ex-serviceman Discharge Book issued by Ministry of Defence,
- Any other Photo bearing ID Card issued by Central/ State Govt.
- Candidates will have to submit copies of various documents like:
- Matriculation/ Secondary Certificate.
- Educational Qualification Certificate.
- Order/ letter in respect of equivalent Educational Qualifications indicating the
Authority (with number and date). - Caste/ Category Certificate, if belongs to reserved categories.
- Persons with Disabilities Certificate in the required format, if applicable.
- For Ex-Servicemen (ESM):
- Serving Defence Personnel Certificate
- Undertaking
- Discharge Certificate
- Relevant Certificate if seeking any age relaxation.
- No Objection Certificate, in the case already employed in Government/ Government undertakings
- A candidate who claims change in name after matriculation on marriage or remarriage or divorce, etc. the following documents shall be submitted:
- In case of marriage of women: Photocopy of Husband‟s passport
showing names of spouses or an attested copy of marriage certificate
issued by the Registrar of Marriage or an Affidavit from husband and
wife along with a joint photograph duly sworn before the Oath
Commissioner; - In the case of re-marriage of women: Divorce Deed/ Death Certificate
- In case of divorce of women: Certified copy of Divorce Decree and
Deed Poll/ Affidavit duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner. - In other circumstances for change of name for both male and female:
Deed Poll/ Affidavit duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner.
- In case of marriage of women: Photocopy of Husband‟s passport
- Any other document specified in the Admission Certificate for DV

- SC/ST/ Women/ PwD/ Ex- Servicemen: No Fee
