Joining the team as a Lead Software Engineer of Internal Tools will provide you the opportunity to make a huge impact in a high growth company. You will be developing applications that provide self-service and increased efficiency to a diverse group of internal customers across Cloud Operations, Engineering, Customer Success & Support, and Customer Value Management. When you are successful you will significantly accelerate the ability of our teams to better serve our customers. You will be supported through in-house training and certification on our Coupa University platform and through subscriptions with leading learning partners. What Will You Do: Leading a team of technical leads and architects that’s central to achieving objectives critical to our business, giving your work high-impact visibility and the chance for swift upward mobility Own, build and run a suite of impactful applications built on modern cloud technologies (streaming, data science, analytics, generative AI) Develop a multi-region and multi-cloud platform that allows scalable, secure service delivery across hundreds of services on AWS & Azure clouds in a regulated environment Build products to optimize service delivery and enhance developer experience to make it easy to use our internal cloud platforms at scale Develop and drive long-term strategies and roadmaps aligning with business priorities in partnership with the Product Management team Use data-driven insights across our cloud estate to inform and drive new feature development to optimize usage and reduce cost What Skills Are Useful: Has 8+ years of hands-on experience programming using Ruby, Python or equivalent Has 4+ years of experience in a lead engineering role, working with a diverse & distributed team located across the globe Have experience building & running modern full-stack cloud applications using public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) Takes full ownership of products and has a track record of sustainably delivering high quality features & managing technical debt Has effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated problems to all levels of the organization & customers Has experience with adaptive/iterative delivery practices including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean Will be confident in their ability to own and deliver a roadmap tied to business priorities Has a passion for excellence, is a natural problem solver, and a critical thinker.
