Server Administrator

Skills & Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities in general would be to design, develop, implement, and manage servers, storage, and other aspects of data center.
Enforcing and ensuring Server Security Policies – both servers and end points through AD policy structure
Shall work on ISO27001 / ITSM / BCP&DR Projects
Configure and maintain hosted applications
Configure, troubleshoot, and manage server, network, active directory, and network-attached storage.
Provisioning and creation of virtual server instances
Implement and maintain health monitoring and alerting of servers
Monitor and Maintain backups of Servers
Single-handedly able to deploy and configure new server hardware
Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments and VMware
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx, vsftpd, load balancing etc.
Troubleshooting of Web, Domain name, DNS, and DB server issues.
Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
Proactively maintain and develop all server infrastructure to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
Willing to learn and adopt new technologies. Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
Able to manage Online meeting platforms like ZOOM, Google Meet, MS Teams, etc.
Able to manage the G-suite, Office 365, and other academic applications
Configure, manage, deploy, operate, and monitor the AWS (Cloud servers) services and environments
Create and update the technical documentation regularly.

Eligibility Criteria of IIM Ahmedabad Server Administrator Jobs 2021

Age Limits

Maximum 35 years as on the last date of application.

Education Qualification

The candidate should have a full-time degree in B.E. /B.Tech. /B.Sc. or M.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent degree from a recognized university
Must have valid Certification in Microsoft/Linux
Minimum 5 Years of professional experience as Server Administrator with Server Security
